Mt Airy is in 2 watersheds, the Wissahickon on the west and the Wingohocking on the East. Since the Wingohoking Creek was converted to a combined sewer in the late 19th – early 20th centuries, few East Mt Airy residents are aware that they live in the Wingohoicking Watershed, a part of the Tookany – Tacony – Frankford (TTF) Watershed.
