Fixing a E Mt Airy Eyesore

When buying our house in the spring of 2007, we had concerns about the garage, it was an eyesore. Here is what the garage eyesore looked like in 2007:

In doing our do diligence, we had a home inspection which raised concerns about the garage. We wanted a garage wall repair estimate, so our real estate agent suggested a Chestnut Hill builder who agreed to take a look at the garage.  Unfortunately he was unwilling/ unable to give us a repair cost estimate, so we prepared our own cost estimate for home purchase purposes.

A few years later, we ran into the very same Chestnut Hill builder when he purchased the Devon Enclave (now Devon Village). We again asked him to take a look at the garage to see if he could give us an estimate to repair the wall. Again he was unable to give us a repair cost estimate so we got an experienced masonry contractor.

Here is what our garage looks like now:
